Display Screen Equipment (DSE) Assessor Course: February 2013

Health and Safety legislation requires employers to carry out DSE/VDU workstation assessments and to put controls in place to minimise this risk. The aim of the DSE/VDU Workstation Assessor Course is to provide participants with the knowledge and skills necessary to carry out standard DSE/VDU assessments in the workplace. This course can also be provided as a 2-day course where the topics can be covered in greater depth.

Why attend this course?

  • This two day Display Screen Equipment (DSE) workstation assessors course will provide participants with the knowledge and skills necessary to carry out standard DSE workstation assessments and to promote safe work practices in an office environment.
  • These DSE workstation assessments will assist employers to comply with their obligations under the 2007 Safety, Health and Welfare at Work (General Application) Regulations: Chapter 5 of Part 2: Display Screen Equipment.
  • Having an employee trained to carry out DSE workstation assessments ensures that timely assessments can be carried out and a proactive approach can be taken to office health and safety.
