Our next People Handling Instructor course will commence on October 2nd 2013.
This course is a FETAC Level 6 course and is a 9 day course delivered over 7 weeks.
Successful participants will receive a FETAC Level 6 Special Purpose Certificate in People Handling Instruction. This certificate incorporates the two components – Manual Handling Instruction and People Handling Instruction.
Participants should preferably have a nursing or paramedical background and must have practical experience in the care and handling of people in a healthcare setting.
On successful completion of this course the instructor will be able to:
- Deliver effective manual handling and people handling training in their workplace
- Assist in carrying out manual and people handling risk assessments
- Assist with the identification of suitable handling equipment
- Facilitate attitude change to safer handling practices where necessary.
